Covid-19 update: travel to Israel resumes 1 November 2021
As of 1 November 2021 individual tourists will be allowed to enter Israel. The following conditions apply:
Entrance requirement guidelines by Israel Ministry of Health:
1. You need to have been vaccinated (at least 14 days before arrival BUT no more than 180 days since last vaccination - see below 1).
OR
2. You are recovered or recovered with vaccination (see below 2).
Anyone who has not been vaccinated or recovered will NOT be allowed entry to Israel (this includes children!).
3. Only citizens of certain countries are allowed entrance to Israel while others are not - see the most up-to-date list below
1. Vaccinated persons
Approved vaccines to be able to enter Israel:
Pfizer
Moderna
Astra Zeneca
Sinovac
SinoPharm
Serum Institute of India
You need to have:

Received two doses and at least 14 days have passed from the second dose by the day of entry into Israel (but not more than 180 days before planned departure date from Israel). Vaccination effective dates have to be within the 180 day period of your planned departure from Israel.

Received a booster dose and at least 14 days have passed by the day of entry into Israel

Sputnik V
Those vaccinated by Sputnik V, as of 15.11.2021, who underwent a serological examination in Israel and received a positive result:

Received two doses and at least 14 days have passed by the day of entry into Israel (but not more than 180 days before departing Israel).

Received a booster dose and at least 14 days have passed by the day of entry into Israel.
Note: Those vaccinated with Sputnik will stay in isolation until a positive serological test result is obtained in addition to other requirements.
2. Recovered persons
Holders of a digital recovery certificate, which is recognized by Israel, based on a positive result in a NAAT test (molecular test similar to PCR):

Those for whom at least 11 days have passed since the positive test by the day of their entry into Israel (but not more than 190 days before departing Israel).

Those who received at least one dose of the WHO-approved vaccines in addition to their recovery (there is no significance to the order of events).
3. All others (non-vaccinated or non-recovered)
Those who do not meet these conditions will be denied entry to Israel unless they apply to the Exceptions Committee and receive a special entry permit.
This includes children!

3. Tourists from the following countries are allowed entrance to Israel:

From EU countries or other countries with which Israel has a mutual vaccine certificate recognition agreement. This list includes Austria, Albania, Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, The Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Monaco, Morocco, The Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Vatican City State.

After signing a similar agreement with the United States, tourists will also be allowed to enter from specific states only (New York, California, New Jersey - check this in advance!).

Tourists who travel from, or have visited a “red” country or countries with a “severe” warning in the two weeks before travel will not be able to enter Israel.
Starting November 21, 2021, vaccinated tourists will be allowed to enter from all countries of the world, even those with whom Israel does not have reciprocal agreements. This will include:

The United Kingdom
Tourists from countries that require a visa to enter Israel will not be allowed to enter the country at this stage.
Covid-19 Test before you travel to Israel

PCR tests are required for all travelers to Israel!

Entry to Israel will only be permitted if you have a negative PCR test result from taken no more than 72 hours prior to leaving the country of origin. You will not be able to board your flight to Israel without this test result!

Upon arrival in Israel, you must take an additional PCR test at the airport.

After leaving the airport, you must go to your hotel or place of accommodation and remain in isolation until the results are received. This can take up to 24 hours but usually takes 5-6 hours.

PCR test up to 72 hours before departure from Israel as well as completing an exit declaration up to 24 hours before flight.
